Tip: The max point reward for answering a question is 15.
There's nothing you can do except to have the lens replaced. Trying to rub out a scratch would only result in the lens having a different focal point and would no longer work with the other lens elements in the assembly. This will probably cost more than the camera is worth.
Here is a screen shot of the menu you should see when you turn it on set it to normal mode and press the menu button, in english instead of the japanese you are seeing. I am hoping for your sake the menus are laid out the same way and only the words or characters are different. .
. Scroll down to the second wrench, select the second from the bottom, and press SET. English should be the first option at the top of the next screen. Highlight the first option and press SET.
I uploaded the manual of this camera to fixya, though it may not turn up for a day or two due to processing.
