PACKARD BELL COMPUTER TOWER

HELLO, MY PACKARD BELL TOWER SWITCHES ON AND DISPLAYS THE DESKTOP FOR ABOUT A MINUTE THEN JUST GOES OFF.TFT MONITER THEN SAYS NO SIGNAL.SOMETIMES IT FIRES UP TO GET TOO THE DESKTOP SCREEN AND OTHER TIMES IT DOESNT GET THAT FAR.THE FAN KEEPS RUNNING AS IF IT WAS ALL FINE.IVE TRYED THE RECOVERY PROCESS FROM PRESSING ESCAPE ON THE PACKARD START UP SCREEN BUT IT DONT WANT TO GO FURTHER THAN THE START RECOVERY PAGE. ITS A NEARLY 4 YAER OLD COMPUTER

Hi, sounds like your hard drive is going/gone flaky... & if so ya gonna haveta get a new hard drive & a Windows Operating System.

kinda stupid answer but check the back make sure your moniter is plugged in.if it is it might be your motherboard ive had this problem with a compaq before it turned out to be the mother board something was broken inside it

try booting with single chip if 2 are present..it may be the problem

Sounds like a power supply. the power supply in the tower may have overheated or burned. Does the fan in the power supply come one?

open ur computer case and if u r using a sata harddrive try unplugging it from the motherboard and then again plugging it.it will work.i also had the sme problem and i solved it in this way

Packard Bell Easy Note R1910 Fault

have a look on the net for a dismantle guide for your laptop model.

sometimes your laptop moniter connector works its way loose and its a case of wiggling it back in :-) its useually under the left hinge.

also if you have a vga port on your internal graphics card and no a friend with a crt or tft moniter try it and see if it works if it does then the problem is your screen.
