Oh my God, Jim is stuck in South dakota. Jim, I have heard that if you upgrade to the latest unit software, it will solve the freeze up problem. I went to Garmin.com and copied the URL for you to go to if you can. Follow the directions and put the latest version of software on your 340.
Alright Jim, You cannot be so wrapped up in using the C340 that it has to be a requirement to get out of North Dakota. You do have internet because your leaving comments. Ok here is a possible, solution. Go to a store that has a C340. Buy a new one with your credit card, hopefully it still has enough credit left. Use the cable out of the new one, and put it back neatly after your done. Try not to mess up the packaging on the new one. If you know what I mean. Then take the new one back to the store, and tell them you cant find a way to fit it in your vehicle. Get your Credit card credited back. Your in business.
