There is a blue square on my asus moniter - ASUS VW222U Monitor

Yes you did it a f key with a nother key that looks like two squares one filled blue one outlined blue

Either the blue LED is faulty or the LED needs replacing or resoldering to make proper electrical connection.
If you cannot fix it yourself and the fan functions normally then don't worry about it.

What I would try is to uninstall all Asus software and go to the above link. The link has a download tab where you can enter you operating system and it will give you the drivers for your board. It Has an Intel H55 chipset. so amke sure thats updated as well. I don't know how you have the board hhoked to the moniter/lcd but make sure it's plugged in when you download. If you have some sort of control center or place where you can look at what moniter the board is recognizing you may have to click on the moniter you want to use. Whenever you change the video output, you have to resatrt each time you change, then look at moniters recognized. If you have system restore, you may have to hook it up the way it was when(?) working then try to change outputs. Asus does have support. You may try http://usa.asus.com/. Telephone (510)739-3777

try uninstalling and reinstalling the video driver

download soundmax drivers and the 4-in-1 drivers after reboot, it shows up on the bottom of the screen ,active icons, as a blue point square icon thingy.....

Some circutes are not working properley so please go to your nearest service center otherwise call to the moniter service center

are you using an add-on video card? If so, then go to BIOS and enable it.

That Male connector is a serial port not video, you need to get a video card and plug the monitor to this card.
