Male moniter plug on both moniters(every one in the world) and motherboard

I have this mother board and the blue moniter plug is a male, and all moiter cables are male as well. i have a video card with another(proper female) blue moniter plug, which is meant for dual-moniter function. the picture i found on the internet also had a male plug on the motherboard, so is it impossible to use this motherboard without a separate video card with a moniter plug? also, i have been unable to find a double female adapter on the internet

All above solutions are correct. That is a serial port. Your MB uses an AGP video card.

The male port see isn't a monitor port, thats a 9 pin serial port. If you count the pins, a monitor port has 15 pins.

I don't think this board has on-board video, so you will need to use a card.

I hope this helps.

That Male connector is a serial port not video, you need to get a video card and plug the monitor to this card.

Verify four things:

1. You are not plugged into the onboard video VGA port

2. Onboard video is disabled in BIOS.

3. Power is actually being applied to the card(make sure the fan spins up)

4. Reseat the card and make sure it is seated properly.

What I would try is to uninstall all Asus software and go to the above link. The link has a download tab where you can enter you operating system and it will give you the drivers for your board. It Has an Intel H55 chipset. so amke sure thats updated as well. I don't know how you have the board hhoked to the moniter/lcd but make sure it's plugged in when you download. If you have some sort of control center or place where you can look at what moniter the board is recognizing you may have to click on the moniter you want to use. Whenever you change the video output, you have to resatrt each time you change, then look at moniters recognized. If you have system restore, you may have to hook it up the way it was when(?) working then try to change outputs. Asus does have support. You may try http://usa.asus.com/. Telephone (510)739-3777

No signal on moniter

are you using an add-on video card? If so, then go to BIOS and enable it.
