Need INF and Graphics Drivers of Intel D 845 GBV for Windows Vista

i would download the windows xp vga driver first and try installing in compatabilty mode (rite click the installer then select properties then choose run in xp mode and run as adminastrator) i belive ur system is a AGP one so u neeed a half decent AGPx8 graphics card these are quite old now you would probally be best checking a well known online auction site for 1

I just realized that the 845 graphics chip does not have internal DX9 support there are no
Vista drivers for it. The 945 graphics is the first chip that Intel made Vista drivers for.
Here is the Intel Driver Update Utility. I would run this first to get more info. This utility can only be accessed using Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Netscape browsers.
. You can try the XP drivers. I dont' really know if they will work.

Here are all the drivers from Intel. Please not that for both 32 and 64 bit downloads, there are ONLY a BIOS update, Board ID tool, and a manual.

The file name is; win2k_xp.exe
Create a folder on your desktop. Download & save the file win2k_xp.exe into the folder. This is an *.exe file, once you double click on the file it will uncompress. The video driver should install all by its self. All drivers for your board are listed on the site above, you might want to bookmark the site just in case you need another driver.

You can try the XP drivers. All depends on how different the chips are. Be sure to set the Install.exe program to XP compatibility (Properties dialog) and then run as administrator. Be sure to create a restore point first!

just copy and paste the above two links one by one on the browser......you will be redirected to windows vista graphics driver download page.....there you can download the drivers and then install it....it is free of cost....the graphics of windows vista will be improved.....try this.....it will work 100%....

change to Windows XP,
windows vista will not support with *********** board
it will support more then 865 chipset

Fix for older motherboards like Intel 845GVSR etc.,
HERE IS THE SOLUTION FOR FIXING DISPLAY PROBLEMS....
(This solution works for any Intel Motherboard)
No need to donwload or install any drivers.
Vista has everything built in.
Only thing is it needs atleast 128 Mb of Video Memory, but for older motherboards like Inter 845 by default the Video Memory is configured to 64 Mb which is resulting in your problem.
So what you have to do is...
SOLUTION:
Restart your computer > Press DEL Key
and
Go to BIOS Settings > Advanced > Video Configuration
1. Change "AGP Aperture Size" from 64 Mb to "128 Mb or Higher"
2. Leave "Primary Video Adapter" as "Integrated"
3. Change "Frame Buffer Size" from 1 Mb to "8 Mb"
and then press F10(i.e., Save changes and continue).
Sometimes, for the first time you may see screen not aligned properly, in that case just restart once more and Vista will automatically adjust the alignment for you.
Also, you can change the resolution to your desired one manually as follows...
1. Click "Start Button"
2. Right click on "Computer"
3. Select "Properties" option from the context menu.
4. Scroll down and find "Disply Settings" option and click it.
5. Adjust Resolution Size and Mode.
NOW, ENJOY USING VISTA.....

i don't know weathere you are awared of this or not...

to get the 32 bit graphic on 82845gv motherboard go to BIOS setting and change your video frame buffer size to 8 mb and agp aeperture to 256 mb and let the system boot... you will get 32 bit graphic with 1024 x 748 screen resolution... i have changed and believe me it is working

but only problem is that you will hardly play any game or use bubble screen saver..
