There is an audio troubleshooting system area you can check out however, if you have the IDT or ADI sound on your system, you may not have any luck with drivers as the companies have folded. If you have Realtek sound, you can try here:

If you see "IDT(sigmatel), or ADI(soundmax)" in your list. You may want to consider an upgrade to a sound or graphics card. Power down and disconnect AC power from your PC. Remove the AGP card and DIMM again and use some "canned air" or dusting spray to get any dust off the contacts on your motherboard and your memory and AGP card. You can only upgrade as high as your components will allow. If you get a brand new motherboard, you'll also need to get the appropriate RAM, and CPU style. When you're looking into buying a new motherboard, especially to replace a single core motherboard, you usually have to upgrade RAM, CPU and possibly video card, if you're using an older AGP style video socket - so make sure that if you DO upgrade your board, you either keep it within the limits of your components, or upgrade the appropriate pieces along with the motherboard.
