As long as you have a spout mounted in the middle of the top basket, everything is fine , water will spray from top nozzel (mounted in ceiling of dishwasher) into spout entering spray arm.

I have a fisher&paykel dishwasher dw60cex1. Froer is heated, but the water inside doesn't hit the top, so meaning water isn't washing anything.

Check the spray arm nozzles for being blocked. The end nozzles, spin the arms around. The upper holes wash the dishes. If your model has a top spray arm, the nozzles will be underneath to direct the water down.

Hi, the dishes on the top rack of our Whirlpool Quietmaster III do not dry completely, but the bottom dishes are fine. We have to re-wash the upper rack dishes; they have spots on them. Ron.

Sounds like your not using a rinse aid. Fill the dispenser with jet dry. Not only it keeps dishes spot free but it help to dry them as well.

Frigidare ultra quiet 1 top wash arm not cleaning properly

Hello ezideas - First I suggest verifying that there is enough water pressure coming into the unit and that it is at least 120F. Do you noticed if the spray arm will rotate freely or if it is damaged? If so, the spray arm assembly may need to be replaced. Connect with a professional to accurately pinpoint any potentially more serious issue.

My Whirlpool Quiet Partner II does not clean the upper rack of dishes properly. They are greasy. I have checked the top spray arm for blockages. There were none. I am fairly certain that water is

Make sure the center loading is not obstructing the water jet to the top shelf. Top shelf is only for glasses and saucers , use Jet-Dry .Pre rinse and clean bottom pan strainer from dirt debris.

The detegent doesn't completely leave the soap dish. the soap door works appropiately --- but the dishes do not come out clean. We have tried detergent pellet, liquid detegent and the basic cascade...

This model relies on the top spray arm to 'wash' the detergent out of the soap dispenser - and that is the problem. Your top spray arm will not be turning properly. Check the angled jet on the very tip of the arms for blockages with food or fruit pips etc - it's this angle only that makes the arms turn.
if blocked, clean out with a pin or wire, and running water - make sure you get every bit out. If not, buy a new spray arm. If the arm is split, you will need a new one.
Other problems may be low water level or a faulty circulation pump - BUT check the spray arms first.
Remember a dishwasher is NOT a garbage disposal unit, so scrape any food particles of plates etc before putting them in the machine. Run a dishwasher cleaner through with no load once in awhile.

Food particles remaining on dishes after cycle is complete.

Hi

While putting dishes in the washer and obstructing the spray ams which causes food particles to stay on dishes. After loading dishwasher and pushing in baskets ,be sure the spray arm doesnt hit any of the dishes causing them to not clean properly. If that doesnt work or is definately not your problem try removing the spray arm and seeing if it has food inside of it. Some times they get food build up in them and need to be flushed out.

However the other causes for this problem are…

Not enough water entering dishwasher (check level after fill... Should be slightly below bottom wash arm)

Water filling but draining during wash cycle. Check toward end of wash cycle but before drain. See if water level is diminished from start of wash cycle.

New 'water saver' dishwashers are notorious for having smaller water jets, and thus easier to stop-up jets. Check the jets on all wash arms to be sure they are cleared of food particles.

Another way to check the wash arms is to manually position them at specific locations, momentarily run the dishwasher for a few seconds, then open the door to inspect the location of the wash arms. Do this three or four times to eliminate the possibility of coincidence.

If the wash arms do not move from the location that you put them, the most likely cause is food particles stopping up the water jets. These jets not only clean the dishes but also the water pressure they generate turn the arms inside the dishwasher to properly distribute water pressure on the dishes.

Sometimes you can dislodge and remove food particles stuck in one of the jets with a toothpick or other small probe. Others require that you remove the arm(s) and get a little more creative. I use compressed air to clear mine, but not everyone has access to compressed air, so use whatever you can to remove the food particles.

Simply dislodging them from the water ports is usually not effective... As soon as water pressure is applied, the particles return to the jets and stop them up again. The real fix in this instance is to completely remove the food particles from the arm if you can.

Whirlpool du1055xtsq 3 not cleaning top rack of

In my experience, you probably have a clog in the spray arm/arms for the top rack. Take the arm(s) out and see if the holes in them are clogged. Rice, plastic wrappers, and glass from dishes that broke in there are the most common culprits I've seen.

MY KITCHENAID DISH WASHER TOP SHELF IS NOT CLEANING AT ALL .

There may be something plugging up the arm that sprays over the dishes. And of course, I'm sure you know not to place items like bowls, pots, etc that will block the flow of water from the bottom sprays.

Although the bottom jets do most of the working cleaning the top items, the spray from above is vital. Take the stem pipe leadin from the top to the bottom off and separate the spray arms carefully. If you can, look throgh each end to make sure no deposits are in there.

Another way is to blow compressed air from the center stem down in the water supply unit. If food particles are there you'll see them.

Dirt left on dishes on top tray; bottom tray washes fine

The broken bottom arm is probably preventing any water / water under pressure to get to the upper arm.
After you replace the lower arm, you should have much better cleaning in the top shelf.
While you are in there replacing the lower arm, recommend you remove the filter under it and clean the filter and any debris you find. Be careful of broken glass!
Good Luck!

My Bosch dishwasher model #SHU43C05UC/14 drains well and has enough water(I replaced the inlet water valve already),but not washing the dishes clean especially the top rack. What could be wrong?

open machine when running and check both spray arms rotating - you will get a bit of water out. if spray arms not rotating, usual cause is debris in the arms. the spray arms only rotate by water jetting from angled jets at the end of the arms. take them out and make sure all debris removed
