Canon s 900

I was at a concert over the weekend and took a ton of pics and video, however, when I came home to download the files, only half of them worked. The other half are only showing as Icons and I cannot view them in the camera, either. Anyway to recover these?

SOURCE: Video Format

If your computer has a SD card reader, you might be better off putting your memory card into your computer and just copying the data.

Have you made sure your iPhoto is up to date? Perhaps a new update caused this problem.. Maybe you should try an older version of the software. Also, you might want to try other software. (I think you are on a mac?), you might want to try the software that came with the camera, if it works on your computer.

The other programs on your computer don't work with your camera. You need to download the files to either your desktop or a folder you create on your desktop. Then, try opening them.

I bought a Korg Concert 3500 from an Estate sale this past weekend. Stored for 10-15 years in excellent condition, you would kick me hard if you knew what I paid for it. It has the original manual in excellent condition as well. I would be happy to attempt to scan you a copy if you still need it. Otherwise send you any info via e-mail. Let me know. Happy to help, Love my vintage keyboards!!! jjsandell at msn dot com.

Card Not Initalized!? How did this happen? Where are my pics?!

Are you sure the camera was taking pictures all weekend? Try using a separate card reader to download your pictures or go to a local Walmart and find a Kodak picture maker machine to see if your pictures are actually there.

Error message: card cover open..yeah right

Hmmm, I'm thinkin' if there's no memory card in camera, there are NO memories, aka formerly known as photos. Unless there is some sort of an internal memory, but me thinks not. As for error message, might be because....card fell out while an image was being captured.

Photo quality problems

Besides the issues of focus or shutter speed causing things like camera motion, the file size indicates less than highest resolution and probably more the minimal jpeg compression. Too much compression could reduce detail.
