I was at a concert over the weekend and took a ton of pics and video, however, when I came home to download the files, only half of them worked. The other half are only showing as Icons and I cannot view them in the camera, either. Anyway to recover these?

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Sony should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following link for more info:

If your computer has a SD card reader, you might be better off putting your memory card into your computer and just copying the data.
Have you made sure your iPhoto is up to date? Perhaps a new update caused this problem.. Maybe you should try an older version of the software. Also, you might want to try other software. (I think you are on a mac?), you might want to try the software that came with the camera, if it works on your computer.
You may have a bad ccd go to this site and read to se if this is the problem
