Login failed hello!! Im using this router from 2 months first i have changed the wifi pssword and now whenever i login. the login is failed Username: admin password: [none] login is failed

If ever you know how to configure WAN and lan again, i would recommend to reset the router.

to reset router: put router on power, press the reset button, most of router manufacturer hides this button to avoid accidental press. in this case, you can use a pin to press it. once pressed, the led will all blink together. you are now in factory default of your router and you can start a fresh configuration.

Hi Judith,

you need to login to the router admin page to be able to do that. you will have to connect the computer to the router with the help of an ethernet cable to do that and have the ip address of the router and the old password.

How to change the pssword

First login your account

Click Maintenance at the top of the screen.

Now enter (and repeat) your desired new password.

Click Save Settings to update the router password.

I have an arris router with suddenlink. i can login but i can't change my ssid because everything's greyed out. how do i fix that?

This can be done -- I've done it to my Arris modem router interface from Suddenlink.

Make sure you have your original modem/router login info (typically this is something like admin/admin, or admin/password). You'll need this info in case there is an error and you need to reset your device. If you do this simple step-by-step carefully you won't need to reset and you'll be able to use the password or SSID you prefer with your device.

To do this, the page with the grayed out field(s) must have an Apply, Submit, or other button that saves changes on the page.

DO NOT TAKE THIS LIGHTLY.
IF YOU EDIT THE WRONG GRAYED OUT FIELD YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO USE YOUR MODEM/ROUTER.

Only do this for Names, SSIDs, Passwords, etc.
Do *NOT* do this for other values--things are grayed out for a reason.

1. Use Chrome or Firefox.

2. Log into your modem/router.

3. Right click on the grayed out field (which you want to edit) and select "Inspect" from the small context menu that appears by your mouse cursor.

4. A complex looking set of window panes will open.

5. The code for the grayed out field you selected will be highlighted in one of those windows panes.

6. In that code look for something like:

disabled

(or)

disabled="disabled"

7. Click on that little bit of code text.

8. Delete only that text:

disabled

(or)

disabled="disabled"

9. As soon as you click out of the editor and back onto the page you'll see the gray is gone and you can change the text in the field which is now editable.

10. Replace the SSID, password, key phrase, or other information you're trying to change with the information you want there.

BE CAREFUL ABOUT SPECIAL CHARACTERS OR SPACES.
THEY MAY NOT WORK.

11. After you've changed the text to be what you want, tap the Apply or Submit button on that page.

12. The page should refresh now and record the new information in the field(s).

If everything goes south (perhaps because you used a space or character which wasn't allowed), it's okay. All modem/routers have a reset button.

Hello,

Delete your wifi connection from your phone and re-create it.
Entering the wifi key again should clear this problem.

If you dont know your wifi key, you need to login to your router and get it from there.

I have a problem with my router login.I have tried hard resetting it and using the default password (username: admin , password: password) whenever I try to login it gives me an error: "System...

If the router ssid reads virginmedia.... then you have not reset the router. The default name for a Netgear router is Netgear.
Push the reset button in (on the back of the router) and hold it for at least 15 seconds or until the power light flashes.
Now the username and password and SSID should be reset to the default.

I want to use my Ipad with my d-link wifi system, but I do not know the password to unlock the system. How can I retrieve this password.

If you have not changed the default login to the router then the login is admin and the password field is blank.

However, if you have changed the default login and do not remember it you will need to press the reset button on the back to restore the router to it's factory default settings then you can use the login above.

I forgot my username and password of my asus WL-600g Router can i change it or is there some how i can see in

you failed to say:
1: lost Wifi PW
2: or lost router login screen configs, PW.

there are just answers,
do #2 first and set the wifi like you want on any router. you own.
or if #2 fails and you are locked out then push the routers reset button in for 15 seconds and release it some need 30 seconds
the manual covers that if you read it.

Unable to connect to a wireless network...network strength is good.. uder device manager network adaptor was disabled then enabled them and rebooted the system again seen that the network adaptor was...

wifi you meant Im sure but you can put on a 3/4G card and run that. and that too is wireless. but I be you don't have 4G.
does you CELL phone wifi connect to the router?
if not they you are using the wrong credentials.

what is wrong is simple (kinda)
1: the wifi card/chip driver is wrong /missing or 1/2 loaded.
2: the settings for wifi are wrong, in the setups.
what we do is go to the router, read what setup credentials are there. WEP /WPA or WPA2
the get the passphase from there (was word)

that begs the question who owns the router you or the ISP
if they own it , then its locked, and you must call them and get the to disclose the login credentials. (after its locked)
if not locked , tell me the maker name of the router and model and we can set it up.

if you can not CELL phone, (android ) settings, turn on wifi
if that fails , then you need help setting up the router
on most cases the ISP puts sticker on the back of the router
(nice IPS) that tell you your wifi settings.
if not , you must call them
