You can order a new one at several electronic shops online and in-store locally where you are. If you are shopping online I'd suggest NewEgg or Amazon.

Power not coming on

Power does not come on for the following reason, THE POWER SUPPLY is bad. Unplug the power cord, then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Then plug it back in and hit the power button. If you see no lights, hear no fans running, don't hear the disk drive running, don't hear the cd drive click once and don't see the light on the cd drive come on for a second or two while it clicks, then you are getting no power and need to replace the power supply.

Not powering on

Computers don't power on for one of the following reasons.
1. Bad Power Cord
2. Bad Power Supply that the Power Cord Plugs Into on Desktops but on Laptops it's call the Internal DC Power Jack
3. Bad Motherboard.
If you see no lights at all when you plug in the power cord and press the power switch then it's a problem with one of the 3 above.

Sometimes you can have something as simple as static charge buildup that is causing the computer not to start. Here is how to eliminate the static charge problem. Remove the Power Cord from the computer or Laptop. If you have a laptop also remove the Battery from the laptop. Press and hold the Power Button for about 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, plug the power cord back in (don't plug the battery in if it's a laptop) and see if it boots. If it's a laptop and it boots then you can plug the battery back in so that it can start recharging.

MY NEW REPLACEMENT PRINTER DON,Y COME ON.

If you are encountering power problems with your printer, please go through the following checklist:

  • Make sure the power cord is plugged in securely and directly to the power outlet. Power surge protectors can draw power away from the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the power outlet and the back of the printer and then reconnect it.
  • Check the power supply box (if there is one) to see if it is warm or cold, as there could be a defective power supply issue.
  • If there is access to a voltmeter, test the power supply to ensure that it registering the correct amount of voltage (most Lexmark printers have a 30Volt output).
  • Make sure the correct power supply is connected to the printer.
Should the problem continue, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for further assistance.

DO I HAVE TO PLUG THE POWER FOR ASUS ENGTS450DI1GD5

Yes, newer, high end, high performance graphics cards are now requiring two power cords. So it might be time to upgrade your power supply if you don't have another rail to hook up to it. Some are 6 pin, some are 8 (total). I think it takes two (4 pin) power cords. I also recently got a better graphics card and had to get a new power supply.

WHERE CAN I FIND INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO REPLACE ACER DPS 250AB POWER SUPPLY

the DPS-250AB is a 250W power supply, which is smaller than normal PS from most desktops. However, you should still be able to buy a spare at your local computer dealer. Don't pay more than ~50 USD for one.

Replacing a power supply is very easy. Simply open up your desktop. Your PS comes with standard cords mimicking that of your old PS. They will fit into *********** board (one big cord and maybe one smaller one), your hard-drive, your DVD-drive, your floppy-drive, etc.

The best solution is to take pictures with a smartphone of where the original cords are connected and simply copy that with the new power supply.

NOT ALL POWER SUPPLY CORDS HAVE TO BE CONNECTED SOMEWHERE! They simply come with redundant cords for future addons.

  3. Next, check the input voltage of the power supply using multimeter tester (range in AC).If the power supply don't have input voltage, replace the power cord.
  4. If the power supply board have input voltage, next is check the output voltage of power supply it should have 5vdc for the system board,12vdc for the sounds and 24vdc for the back light inverter.
  5. If you don't have output voltage of the power supply. Please check the fuse if busted and the power transistor if it is shorted, replace it with the same type, ratings and value. Also look for any leak/bulged on the top capacitor.
  6. After you done this steps and you found and replace the defective parts.Plug-in your TV and power it ON to test if it is OK.

  4. If you have input voltage in the power supply, check the output voltage on the power supply. It should have 5vdc,for the system board,12vdc,for the sound and 24vdc,for the back-light inverter.
  5. If you don't have output voltage from power supply board.Unplug the power cord first to check the fuse if busted, check some transistors and diodes if shorted, check some open/change value resistor and also look for leak/bulge on top capacitor.
  6. If you found any of the defective parts that mention on the step # 5 replace it with the same type and ratings.
