Flash error,need to back up data, and fomat player

There is no flashing code for any phone.
How ever, there is a format code, which will fomat your phone and restore it back to factory settings, deleting your data as a result.
So, it is important that you back up your data first.

You can try to format the mp3 player.
Go through: Setting>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Disk management>
Try to format it with fat files system.

Format error are often shown if the file stored on your Sony NW-E505 is not recognized by the system. Try to review the supported audio formats of your player,use audio (format) converter for better compatibility.

just connect it to the computer then save all ur folders to ur desktop thats the easy way to back up data

Turn off CPU, Unplug Power cable, And all usb devices, let it sit for about 20mins. Plug it all back in. Turn on the CPU!

you have to re fomat your player to do this right click on the audio player folder and chosse format. but make sure you back up you music frist

I had this same problem. If I tried to turn the player on, it just gave me the "format the player" screen. If I turned it off (by removing the battery if necessary) and plugged it into a USB port, it could still be read as a flash drive. I could copy the files to a backup folder on my computer and then (using Windows) I could right-click on the drive and choose Format. When it was finished, I disconnected it from the computer and turned the player back on and it was able to boot normally (it took a little while, but it worked). After rebooting, it automatically recreated the MUSIC.LIB, MUSIC.SEC, SETTINGS.DAT system files and the VOICE directory. I plugged it back into the USB port and copied the music back onto it and it worked fine. So... back up the data and format the player...

My Musix MP3 when turned on says flash error please backup the data and format the player. When I put it in the computer no message to tell me how to do this comes up. I don't have the manual anymore. Please advise.
