Look for a shear pin on the pulley, or a loose pulley. You need a service manual.

Holy cow! A bit out of my area. If it's the engine, go to FOMOCO website of course. If it's the machine, go online to the manufacturer, if they're still in business. I'm sure you've tied this, but just in case..... If they're not, get manuals online for chippers of similar size. The technology may be similar, too. Manuals for discontinued machinery are often on eBay, too. Good luck.

There's a website that has all this information about all this and manuals everything totally free there are many actually but I personally like few .. let me know if u need help
