My Thomson lyra 6675 MP3 player worked before but now has no sound. what should I do?

try flicking the "hold" switch then start up.

There is a slide switch on the top of it that locks the controls. If this is in the locked position then the devices shutsdown again!

Also, the 6675 does the same thing if the battery is flat .... appears to start and straight off again!

Design is different between Lyra different models, but the functions are more or less the same.
