How do i take it off of the door?

I might be able to help but without clarification of what model you have i cant be 100% accurate

MOST door handles have the two screws on the inside of the house/room that fasten the two pieces of the handle that you need to remove.

imagine this d|b as your door handle and door. inbetween them are two square pins that are ontop and below the center of the handle that hold it in position.

once the screws are removed you need to pull the knobs apart. this might be difficult. have one person on each side pull. if this doesnt work see if your able to pop up the face plate on the inside that covers the hole. if you can get a screw driver into the hole and use some leverage.
