I have a 2008 Honda Civic where the AC condenser fan is not working

Sure, I can help you with that. Here are some possible reasons why the AC condenser fan in your 2008 Honda Civic is not working:
  • The fuse is blown. The fuse is responsible for providing power to the condenser fan. If the fuse is blown, the fan will not be able to operate. You can check the fuse by looking at it in the fuse box. If the fuse is blown, you will need to replace it with a new one.
  • The relay is faulty. The relay is responsible for sending power to the condenser fan. If the relay is faulty, the fan will not be able to operate. You can check the relay by looking at it in the fuse box. If the relay is faulty, you will need to replace it with a new one.
  • The fan motor is faulty. The fan motor is responsible for turning the fan blades. If the fan motor is faulty, the fan will not be able to operate. You can check the fan motor by listening for any unusual noises or vibrations. If you hear any unusual noises or vibrations, then the fan motor may need to be replaced.
  • The wiring is damaged. The wiring that connects the condenser fan to the fuse box or relay may be damaged. If the wiring is damaged, the fan will not be able to operate. You can check the wiring by looking for any signs of damage, such as cuts or fraying. If the wiring is damaged, you will need to repair or replace it.
If you have checked all of these possible causes and you are still having problems with the condenser fan, you should contact a qualified mechanic for help.
Here are some tips to help prevent condenser fan problems in the future:
  • Have the condenser fan checked regularly. This will help to ensure that it is in good working order.
  • Avoid overloading the AC system. This can put unnecessary strain on the condenser fan and other components.
  • Clean the condenser coils regularly. This will help to ensure that they are able to dissipate heat effectively.

you need to replace your condensing fan motor. the noise you are hearing is the compressor working against a lot of pressure because the heat is building up in you condensing unit. Prolonged operation without an operating condensing fan motor will cause your compressor to burn up, and then you will have the cost of a compressor changeout to the cost of a condensing fan motor.

How to replace the condensor fan on GE Mod.gdl20kcsabs --bottom freezer

How To Replace the Condenser Fan The condenser fan is located behind the refrigerator. It may be necessary to remove an access panel to reach it.
If the fan blade is damaged, it can be removed from the fan motor and replaced separately.
Caution:Please read our safety information before attempting any testing or repairs.
cautiontri.gif Before replacing the condenser fan, unplug the refrigerator to avoid an electrical shock hazard.

The fan motor is held in place with screws and possibly a mounting bracket. Remove the bracket and the screws and pull the motor back away from the housing.
The fan motor is connected by two or three wires. Label the wire placement on the motor before disconnecting the wires. The wires are connected to the terminals with slip-on connectors or a plug. Firmly pull the connectors off of the terminals (do not pull on the wire). You may need to use a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove the connectors. Inspect the connectors and the terminals for corrosion. If the connectors are corroded they should be replaced.

Remove the fan blade from the old motor and install it onto the new motor. Connect the wires to the new motor and install the motor into the bracket or housing. Make certain that all of the screws are tightened securely.
Replace the access cover (if any) and plug in the refrigerator.

I have a ge sbs model pcp23shmffbs. the condenser fan motor is running slow, but turning freely. the fan motor is rated at 11.3 volts dc and supply to fan motor is only 6.7 volts. is the condenser fan...

If the motor is running, but running slowly, you will need to replace the motor. If there was a problem with the PCB, (control board) the motor would not run at all and you would see other problems with the refrigerator.
Here is a link to the motor.

Kenmore model 3639550610. Ice maker motor and freezer fan motor wont stop. Need to find wiring diagram.

Hello,
If fridge repair because it is noisy, turning off and on, or running all the time, it could be a sign the condenser fan motor is going bad. Thankfully, this type of repair is not as complicated as some may think. You can check the condenser fan motor yourself and replace it if necessary.

Tools and Materials Needed:

* Multitester
* Screwdriver
* Needlenose pliers

Step 1 - Disconnect the Power

Turn off the power to the refrigerator to prevent electric shock.

Step 2 - Remove the Condenser Fan Motor

The condenser fan motor is located on the bottom of the fridge, most likely toward the back. Heat from inside the fridge is released into the air here. A panel will probably need to be removed to access the motor. Depending on the screw, a screwdriver or nut driver will be required to remove the panel. Find the condenser fan and motor. You can quickly check the fan's operation by seeing if anything is obstructing its rotation. Manually move the fan blades to see if they spin freely. If they do not, you may need to replace the fan. Continue removing the condenser fan motor by taking out the screws that affix it to the mounting bracket.

Step 3 - Test the Condenser Motor

Your condenser fan motor will most likely have 3 wires attached. Some models have just 2. Note which wires are connected from the fan to the motor. Use needle-nose pliers to remove the wire connectors from the motor. Be careful not to damage the wires. After the connectors are removed, use the multitester to check the resistance or passage of electrical current. Set your multitester to ohms.

If the condenser motor has 3 terminals, only the outside terminals need to be checked. The inside one is a ground terminal. Check the terminals by using the multitester probes, touching one probe to one terminal and the other probe to the other terminal. The reading should fall between 0 and infinity. If you reading falls on either 0 or infinity, then the condenser motor is bad and will need to be replaced.

Step 4 - Replacing the Condenser Motor

Condenser fan motors can be ordered from the refrigerator's manufacturer. Once you receive the new motor, check it with your multimeter the same way as the old motor. This will make sure the new motor is in working condition. Attach the wire connectors to the new motor in the identical locations as the old one. You can refer to the new motor's wiring diagram (most likely included with it) if assistance is needed. Now install the new motor under the fridge. Attach it to the mounting bracket using the same screws as before.

Step 5 - Testing the New Motor and Keeping it Efficient

With the new motor connected and attached, turn the power back on. The unit should operate correctly. If it does not come on, check the wiring. Dust and dirt can plug a condenser and affect the fan's ability to discharge heat. Cleaning them several times a year will help the fridge run efficiently.
Hope this help in solving.take care....
