How to change automatic oiler on stihl polesaw

99% of the time, the pump fails to pump because of wood dust or small chips that make their way past the filter and plug up the inlet hole on the side of the pump. very common on that model.
1) drain the oil tank, remove the four screws holding it to the gear case
2) remove the pickup filter and rubber cover plug on the bottom of the gear case. the pump is under the filter.
3) using a 5mm bolt (the bolt must be long enough to be threaded into the end of the pump, and then up thru the socket or pipe, and then install a flat washer and finally a 5m nut on top), flat washer, 12 or 13mm deep socket or any other type of pipe or bushing that will allow the pump to be pulled up and out of the housing.
** be very careful to remember the alignment of the inlet slot on the pump position to the gear case.
The slot on the pump is the inlet(it faces towards the back of the gearcase), the outlet hole (it faces forward) lines up with the drilled oil outlet passage on the gear case.
4) there will be a large clog on the slot and inlet hole.
with light oil or pressurized penetrating oil clean the debris from the slot and also into the inlet hole while rotating the pump gear with your fingers, you will find that the oil starts to come out the other side of the pump. time to reinsert
5) with the 5mm bolt installed, use a very small hammer to tap the pump into the housing (align the holes as mentioned above) until it seats. Reinstall the filter, rubber plug, cover and fastening screws.
6) you are ready to get back to work.

I moved my cd player into my new house and i cannot get the CD part to open. When I press the button "open" it says"change error" i don't know what to do. I've tried everything I can...

sounds like you left a cd/cds in it while moving it. you can carefully shake it to attempt to return the cd(s) properly back into the cd tray, or you might have to remove the case cover and remove the cd(s) by hand. if you remove the cover, DO NOT touch any electronics, circuits or microchips inside the unit (you could damage the unit or yourself if you are careless), only touch the loose cd's and or the mechanical tray unit.

Cd tray will not open. Is there a quick fix for this I can do myself?

If when ejecting the disc tray you can hear motor noise from inside but the tray doesn't open up...

1. Unplug the unit from the A.C. outlet
2. Remove top cover
3. Look for rubber drive belt that causes load/unloading tray to move in and out.
4. Replace with new rubber belt..not a rubber band but a rubber belt.

Leaking A/C

are there some instructions on how did you install them?..it should just be the reverse. in some units, they have small screws at the sides that secures the unit from its shell.

start with the face cover, remove it if you can. some units have a scew at the middle of the face cover before you pull out the filter. if you were able to pull the face cover off, then try to pull the unit and the shell should be left behind still attached to the wall. if this is not the case, then you should pull the whole unit including the shell or casing as others called them.
look for some securing screws or bolts that hold the housing. then if you were able to bring down the whole unit, start removing all the screws all around the unit in order to remove the housing and you can see the dirt on the drainage .

i hope i was able to solve you problem..

pls rate me

tnx for using fixya.

STUCK CD DISK

I have a Harman Kardon CD Changer. I moved the unit in prepration for installation of new carpet. I failed to remove the CD's and four of five of them jamed. I could not remove the cd's by any means and turned the unit upside down and pointing the front downward. No luck. In fact the tray jammed at this point. Do not force the tray.

Be aware removing the cover might void your warranty. If this is a concern take the unit to an approved repair location.

I un-plugged the electrical power cord from the electrical outlet and removed the cover. Place the screws in a safe place and separate them by size rembering where they came from. Be careful and do not touch any of the components inside the unit with your hands, fingers or any tool. Some comonents in electrical units can hold an electrical charge even after the unit has been turned off and unpluged from electrical outlets. Whether you unit holds an electical charge is unknown to me. Wear rubber soul shoes.

With the cover off, I saw the CD's were jammed together in the CD player (?). I sucessfully removed the CD's. Replaced the cover and screws and the unit worked.

Good luck. If you are not up to this ask a friend with mechanical abilities to do it for you.
