One burner on gas cooktop fires up but goes tick, tick tick.

This is a 4 year old Thermador cooktop. I wiped up some spilled water from a pot that boiled over near the burner, could that be the problem? The other burners work okay.

What do you suggest I do?

Thank you.

There may well be water in the burner. It will evaporate in a day or two. Then it will work fine again.

The flame are too low, cannot keep a large pot of water rolling boil. was much better when it was new, any adjustment cannot be made ?

check to see if the burners are free of deposits from carbon and grease build up. The tiny holes in the burners get clogged with grease and carbon.

Thermador gas cooktop explosion

I would say that pop was one of you igniters.  either that or the stove is not installed correctly and when it gets warm, thermal expansion makes the metal pop.  I would say that I would use caution and discontinue its use.  Most problems with these need to fixed professionally.
