Hello,
We just purchased and installed a used Thermador (4 burner) Gas Cooktop (model SGC304RS).
Upon testing the burners, they all ignited, but the clicker will NOT turn off. We turned the valves from low to high and no dice. This happens when only one or any combination of burners are on.
Thanks for any help!
Theres a part in the cooktop called a spark modual. replace it. when i goes bad the problem your having is what it causes

Try grounding the cooktop. I had the same problem. I ran a wire from the stove to a water pipe, and the clicking stopped.

BTW: I am looking for a used thermador 36" cooktop in working order or for parts. Any ideas?

Thank You, Chris 72.
Does anyone have a part number for the Spark Modual on a Thermador Gas Cooktop Model SGC304RS? Could you recommend a good replacement parts website??
Thanks Again!!
i had an overflow and now all 4 of the ignitors are clicking continually
The burners started clicking without any burner being turned on and now they won't shut off. We have to open the breaker (or unplug) to stop the clicking. This is the six burner professional model. ive of the six burners will light and the sixth burner doesn't release any gas. This problem happened without any warning. I went into the kitchen at 7:00am to get a drink of water and there was no clicking - an hour later my wife asked me why the burners were clicking. No one had touched the cooktop.
When I ignite any of the four outside burners on my Thermador cooktop (only about a year old), the center ignitor clicks and sparks. The burner does not ignite. But the ignitor clicks and sparks. The center burner ignites properly when I want to ignite it. Is the ignitor on the center burner supposed to do that? If not, is there a way to fix it? Thanks.
Took out cooktop to get new counters. The foam tape around the underside is gross and I think needs to be replaced. Does it serve a purpose?
