Your problem looks like Hibernation. Try this steps:
* When you on desktop screen right click then click on 'Properties'.
* Go to 'Screen Saver' tab and click on 'Power' button at the lower left corner of pop-up.
* Then on the 'Power Options Properties' pop-up, go to 'Hibernate' tab and deselect 'Enable Hibernation' option.
* Last step, close all pop-up windows by clicking 'OK'

Hope, this solves your problem.

Right click on the desktop, properties, slect screen saver, setting, change the setting, you can put it never, so never will power off.

How do I get back my email to work?

Reboot the iPad by shutting it down. Leave it off for about a minute, then turn it back on. My iPad did the same thing.

Keeps locking every 5 mins

Sounds like it's hibernating. Go into control panel and check the settings. Personally I always turn off the hibernation facility, it's a PITA.

Shut off scroll lock in excel 2007

This is a bug, the scroll lock will change from off to on
and when it does you cannot get Excel to release it.
What you have to do is shut down the computer and reboot "not restart" but a full shut down.

It's happened to me before.

I've had my acer laptop for about 2 months. It will not turn on or power up??? Any suggestions on why this is happening?

Sounds like the computer went into hibernation and locked up. Remove the battery, push the power button for 15 seconds. Attach the AC adapter and leave the battery out. Power the computer on and allow it to boot. Once it boots, go to the control panel and go to power options. Once there go to the hibernation tab and disable. Shut down the computer, reinstall the battery and reboot.

Shut down computer and when I went to reboot it it would not turn on. Green light in back is on

Hold Power button in for 10 secs... see if starts... if not, unplug for 5 min and plug back in and try to start. Motherboards can lock up in the BIOS or it could be a power supply. If this solution doesnt work, leave power plug out over night and attempt again. If fails again... it maybe the power supply.

I have Gear Head KB5200W Wireless keyboard and mouse. It works fine but I have to unplug and then reinstall the USB receiver every time I reboot. How can I prevent this?

I can't think of any reason why just leaving it in wouldn't work. Otherwise try hibernating the computer instead of shutting down. (Unless a program requires you to reboot).

Cant read card

There is a problem with the chipset on many 5 & 620 cards, usually causes a system lock-up. You will need to first use the install cd-rom to remove the software, shut down, remove the card and reboot. When all that is done, re-install the software, shut down and re-install the card and reboot. Hopefully the card is installed and the effort was worth it.

Unlocking ipod screen

you will have to restore your ipod to remove the lock.

you can get it to mount to itunes by putting it into recovery/DFU mode.

Here are the steps:
Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} Plug the usb cable into the Ipod and NOT into the computer.
Hold the Home Button down for 5 second (do not release it)
Then Press and hold the Power Button for approx 10 secs (count them out)
Your iPod will reboot.
Release the power button and continue holding the Home button for an additional 27secs.
You may see the screen go blank or not.
Plug the USB end into the computer with itunes open.
Your ipod will mount in recovery mode.
Restore it and Your all set.

Laptop Display flashs then screen locks up

I wouldn't suspect its anything other than your lcd or inverter. Connecting it to an external monitor cements it. If it was the video card or motherboard it would have certainly done it again. For it to appear locked up would just mean the picture you are watching was the last in its memory to post. Meaning, if the inverter or lcd start having problems, the last thing it was told to display would appear to be frozen to whoever is watching but in actuality its the display not machine that is frozen. Try ejecting the cd tray. Better yet set your power button shut down when pushed. Then have it have another lock up watching a video then push the power button or eject to see if it responds. Then you will know forsure. Hope that helps.
