First you have to fix where the leak is coming from that tripped to E15 error code. You can reset by turning off power for 15 minutes.
An E15 error code indicates that the safety switch has detected water in the base of the dishwasher. Your leakage protection system has activated. What can I do to fix the E15 Error Code on my dishwasher?
Check to make sure there is no residual water underneath the unit, they have a flood sensor and if it is picking up water in the motor area it won;t run.
Check water inlet. Check for kinks in hose. Check the inline strainer in the fill solenoid. You say it makes an attempt to fill, is this because you can hear water trickling? If so I would suggest get to g the fill solenoid replaced as it may be blocked or not opening fully
You said you had water under the dishwasher, did you remove the lower panel below the door and check for water in the base frame as well. Bosch dishwashers have system in the base frame that detects water in base and cuts power off to every component except drain pump till it no longer sees the water in the base.
you need to check the water solenoid valve. if you follow the water line coming into the dishwasher you will find the valve(first spot in the water line with two wires coming from it) if you pull the wires off you should see 110 v when it is trying to fill with water if you do then test the valve for continuity.
That part sounds like a solenoid valve which opens to let the water in when it recieves electric power. It behaves like a magnet, so put a metal screwdriver on the solenoid area and it will feel like a magnet, therefore it is in the open position. If this is ok but still no water the float switch may have lifted due to an internal leak, check if there if water in the base of the unit.
It sounds to me like the base safety float has been activated. This will cause the unit to cancel the program it is in and activate the drain pump, hence the "run" that you hear, but no water.
You need to remove the lid and two side panels. If you see water inside the base, you know that the safety float switch has been activated.
Remove plug from outlet and empty water from base (by tilting to left side and using sponge to syphon water)
Restart unit and check where water is leaking from. Usually from a filling hose not correctly/tightly fitted; leaky inlet valve; leaky heater asembly.
Hope this helps!
