MX 780 picture in picture is not working. Is there anything I can do

Try this remove power from MX 780 first. Then replace the batteries in the remote with a brand new set of batteries.
Press the power button a the remote a few time while the MX 780 has no power.

Go ahead connect the power back to the MX 780 and use the remote to turn it on. If this does not work then there may be an issue with your video board which is a small motherboard that wither has a bad fuse or a bad capacitor.

NEC Mobilepro 900c will not connect w/computer

Are you using the NEC Mobilepro 900c drivers? I'm sure the drivers are different. YOu can find the XP drivers here: http://hpcmonex.net/nec900/files/soft/nec/activesyncusb.zip In addition, you should make sure that you have Activesync 3.8 or older. You can find it here: http://www.hpcfactor.com/ftp-root/software/microsoft/activesync/activesync-38/MSASYNC.EXE

NEC MobilePro 780 Screen

A couple of things spring to mind. Have a good hard look at the screen when it goes dark. Is there still an image there but it is really dark? If so, consider that it may be a faulty backlight. It may also be a faulty ribbon cable joining the screen to the main unit, or it may be that the brightness down button is stuck and causing it to lower the brightness. The fact that you are pressing the brighness (up button I am guessing) and it comes back on, may indicate the bright down button is stuck or by pure chance you are pressurising the board in that area causing a bad contact to work, such as power to the backlight or pressure on the ribbon cable. I dont have one of these MobilePro's but I am just going on things I have seen with notebook PC repairs. Hope this helps.
