Usually this is a cam position sensor I have found this problem many times by replaceing the camshaft position sensor I believe this will solve your problem if this is helpful please leave good feedback

You have a fuel reset switch that needs to be pushed back in. This is why you are not getting any thing to happen
The fuel pump inertia switch is located in your right front passenger
area. It is located on the right side of the transmission hump on the
toe board, just under the edge of the carpet. If you don't see any gas
leaking, or smell any gas, push the button down that has popped up
on the top of the switch. This will allow power to go to your fuel pump.

Hi, my research on this issue has turned up phantom causes as sticking valves, ignition switch and seat movement.
On some Hummer, it turns out to be sticky valves in the head. GM replaced the head under warranty and the hummer haven't had any more trouble out of it. There is a recall for the 2006/2007 5 cylinder models and you should be able to have this taken care of at no cost.
Do you have a remote start?
The H3 Bypass module has an issue with Remote Start. When this happens to you must wait 10 full minutes before trying to start it again (DONT USE REMOTE, USE THE KEY) the bypass module takes 10 minutes to get out of "theft mode" this is in your manual as well, I forgot what page. The only way to get this to full proof work is to get a shop to "OLD SCHOOL" wire around the bypass module.

It's when the security light starts flashing that the infamous "chip" in the key becomes a nightmare to many. Gradually the car begins not cranking anymore or if it cranks it would start and die in a second. Randomly it will do this more and more often until it won't start anymore. 1st trick, Try a spare key that is newer or used less. The pins wear down and so do the keys causing security fail. 2nd trick, (if not starting) turn the key forward 2 clicks till right before it would normally start, leave like that for 10 minutes. ( no less ) After 10 minutes, turn key back then forward and your car might start. I did this in my regal for more than a year. If its shutting down while running, im sorry i have no quick fix... Cheap fix: Bypass the chip in your key. Temporary, but effective. Until the TDM (theft deterrent module) in the dash poops out, then you're kinda screwed. I was told that these types of key security systems have a 7-10 year life span. Sucks for us. This link explains the "Key Issue" pretty well.

Never worry again fix: Bypass the whole VATS/Passlock/passkey I or passkey II system entirely. Literally take it out, and throw it away. I just did this in my Regal. Took about an hour. Took longer to find the thing than it did to fix the problem. They sell a unit for 200 bucks to totally bypass this system FOREVER. life time-money back and all that. Finally did this in my car. Well worth the 200 if you've looked into getting this replaced... Anywhere from 600-1000 bucks. If you do buy this, please purchase it thru this link. Hi, there are several possible causes, but none will cause the engine light to illuminate. As you have already guessed, one possibility and the most likely is the interlock. It is fairly easy to check the interlock switch or even to fully diagnose the problem with a 12 volt test light or voltmeter, but I will need to know which engine you have to provide exact instructions. Please reply with your engine size.

The engine
and automatic transmission in this vehicles drive train
are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM and
TCM (Power Train Control Module, Transmission Control Module). When a
problem like this or other drive-ability related problems occurs the
computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some
exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature
sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in
its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems
memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read
you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and
resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL
A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR
