Perform a hard reset on Motorola C139 from Tracfone

This is my second Motorola C139 phone that has locked up when deleting call history. Removing the battery doesn't help.

Basically, I hit delete all in the call history and the phone never comes back. The screen is blank, no option to access menus. Take battery out, turn on, keypad is lit but no screen display.

Is there a hard reset? I can't tell if it's a port or button, but there is a rubber covering on the back of the phone that looks like it might be a hard reset. Not sure how to activate it though.
The same as described.

I have exactly the same problem with the same model cellphone. I tried to delete my call history and my phone's screen went blank. I can't figure out how to revive it.

I need the imei unlock code for motorola C139. It just locked up on me

First you'll need the IMEI. It can be located by removing the battery and having a look at the sticker on the back of the phone where the battery was. One of the numbers will be labeled the IMEI.

Then, contact your service provider (AT&T, Tracfone, whomever) and give them the IMEI. They'll provide you then with the unlock code and it shouldn't take long at all.

Perform a hard reset on Motorola C139 from Tracfone

Master Reset
  1. From the standby screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Scroll to and select Other Settings.
  4. Scroll to and select Initial Setup.
  5. Scroll to and select Master Reset.
  6. Enter the Security Code, press OK. NOTE: The default security code is 1234.
But... it doesnt sound like this will help your problem as i have a feeling that you have a logic board issue and even if you get it to work its going to do it again... and again... and your not the only one.... is quite common fault Do Not Choose Motorala would be a good recomendation for your next phone! maybe LG or Huawei...

American Tracfone Motorola C139 in Europe

I suspect that we are talking at cross purposes. Each SIm has the facility to lock/unlock; that is a security feature. Airtime providers also lock their phones, though, and that - I fear - is what you have here.

Which country are you in and which Airtime provider's SIM have you purchased? Has the SIM been activated?

I have dealt with most UK Airtime providers, Vodafone in Italy, Greece and Cyprus, plus Movistar in Spain.
