i have the same washer and i had an expert come and check it out and they said it was the bearings in the drum. I was quoted $600 to fix the problem. what it is, you have to replace the the whole back half of the out plastic drum which have the bearings factory sealed on it.

WBVH6240FWW loud bang

that would be the bearing and housing gone on the drum, if you can lift the drum with your fingers at the bottom of the drum in the door hatch even by putting lifting inside then the bearing has gone. the plastic is the drum.housing usually were the bearing housing is. if there is a lot of movement then the bearing has gone. usually the front bearing but you will need to remove the drum and separated the drum to remove the drum then the bearing, rust on clothing is the bearing as its the only part in the drum that is metal.

I am having the same problem.
Did you find a solution.
Our washer is just a little over 2 years old and I am trying to decide if I should just cut my losses and never buy a GE product ever again.

Clothes washer vibration during spin cycles

the vibration and noise is most likely from the drum bearings wearing out to test the bearings try this out,,,
open the door, hold the top of the drum and lift it up, if it has any free lift in it the bearings are going, now spin the drum by hand and you should here the rumble off the bearings
