Can the AC input circuit be repaired? The "on" indicator lamp does not light up; there is no response when power switch is depressed.
Look on the back of the unit for input voltage rating. Many (but not all) power supplies are capable of automatically sensing input line voltage and changing to/from 120v/220v without need of a switch for the user to slide from one to the other. If it is only rated for 120 vac and you connected it to 220, the primary windings in the transformer cannot tolerate higher voltage and was likely destroyed. Replacing the transformer with a identical one should repair the unit. also be sure to check the fuse if there is one close to the transformer. It may on the other hand have a switching type power supply that has no conventional transformer but it is also this type that auto-switches input voltages.
Has fuse but it may have blown transformer
