you need to plug your cleaner into a outlet that does not have other devices in use ,such as a lamp, tv , stereo/radio. If you use a receptacle In the kitchen you will probably not blow the breaker. make sure other kitchen appliances are not in use. - toaster , mixer, coffee maker etc.

It's losing pressure due to the leak. need to fix the leak first.

Check to see if any passageways that deliver the water are clogged with anything. Then check to see if the water release valve is functioning. If it's a mechanical valve that opens the waterways, you may need to clean it or see why it's sticking or not working. You may even have to replace it. If it's an electrical swith/valve etc., check to make sure all the connections to it (wires) are clean and undamaged which would prevent the swirtch/valve from functioning. It may need to be replaced if everything looks ok, clean, wires attached etc.

Make sure all water lines are not clogged with anything 1st. Then check to see if the switch/lever or button that actuates the spray is functioning/working. If it's a mechanical switch/lever etc, see if you can take it off and clean it thoroughly and check to make sure there are no broken parts. If it's an electrical switch/button or lever, you need to check and make sure it's clean, and all the contacts to wires are NOT broken or damaged. You may have to replace parts if they don't function.

I got the following when I searched the Hoover Manuals download page:

I got the same result when I tried "Maxextract LS". Evidently your model precedes the construction of the Hoover manual database. You can try asking if they'll send it via e-mail (or a link to the manual); that should be less cost and hassle than having a paper manual copied and shipped.

Go to www.hoover.com, there is a link on the left side of the page to download manuals, make sure you have the correct model number.
