Hi,

Overheating is one of the frequent causes of freezing and other errors in your Toshiba Laptops. So, if your laptops keeps freezing then the first and the most important thing that you would have to check is whether your fan is working or not. If your fan is not working then you would have to buy a cooler pad for your Toshiba laptop. The cooler pad which sits under your laptop would prevent it from getting overheated.

I keep getting this stop error after Windows loads?!

Seriously, contact Toshiba Tech Support. Give them the information you put up here. If you need to you can use a PC in the local library, or a friend's PC, to contact them. Or, just call them on the phone.

Have you tried going into Safe Mode?

Brand new Toshiba 15.6" Satellite C655-S5082 Intel

Sounds like a serious problem with the laptop. Since it's new, I would try to return or exchange the product at the store your bought it at to see if that rectifies the problem.

Without a task bar or icons, you won't be able to go to the recommended restore or recovery console options.

That's why I would recommend that you try to hurry up and get warranty replacement of the product before it's too late.

Good luck on getting a working laptop.

Toshiba satellite m40 booting problem.

Hi! It appears that possibly your hrad drive isn't set properly in the caddy? with the laptop powered down and disconnected locate the hard drive cover pop out the two locating screws and carefully move the caddy/hard drive BEWARE as the drive has fragile pins at the opposite end where you opened, hopefully little sliding pressure should remove. Check the retaining screws around the caddy (You'll need a small torx/philips screw driver for this) if all tight replace gently.
If you are uncertain I would recommend a technician check it for you.
Good Luck!

Laptop keeps rebooting.

It can be a hardware problem (defective memory) or a software problem (defective OS) and/or virus infection.
