The first thing I would check is how your speakers are wired to the amp. Multiple speakers wired in series or parallel will change the overall impedance that the amplifier "sees". If your impedance is too low (let's say 1 ohm) and your amp is only stable to 2 ohms, the amp will shut off to prevent over heating and damage. Hope this helps.
Protective circuits kicking in. You may be overdriving the preamp to a clipping condition the amp sees as a problem. If it is under warranty, contact Line 6 and see if this is normal for this amp. It should not be, but you never can be sure.
If your ampliffier is cutting off even when it is not playing music or without load, it is possible that some errors are on in the protect circuit. Look for possible fault in capacitorrs in this circuit. If not the powering of the outputs can cause the intermittent failure due to overloading. So check you speakers, your speaker connections and also your main power inlets. Check for any spark marks on the plug top, if so use an emery paper to clean. Still if the fault is persisting then you will need som help to probe into the main board . Tap into the board for the fault to come up , in this case there could be dry points in the board. Look carefully into the boarrd and solder all suspect joints. Otherwwise you will need a good check on the cut off error amp, disconnect power amp and check. isolate and confirm the section in fault. Hope you try. Good day
sounds like you are overheating the amp, if the amp has a fan to cool it off, make sure it is turning on and working... if it is not then replace the fan to fix the problem...also turn the amp gain down a little bit and try running it again and see if it still shuts off...if it doesn't shut off then you have teh gain to high and are cutting out the amp with to much power going thru it...
check your ground wire and your remote wire, Wiggle them separately both at the amp and at the ground point. See if it cuts out then, and you;ll know which one. Also, does it have a light on it when it cuts out? if so, it could be going into protect mode, which wont allow it to turn on for a period of tine. Make sure the amp is not too small for the speakers you are pushing.
