I have the same problem. I suspect that this headset is not USB compatible at all. It possibly only uses the USB connection as a source of power (for the vibration effect). This is a problem for me because I wanted to use the headset on a PS3. Saitek don't claim that it works with the PS3, but the claim of USB compatibility is ambiguous and misleading in my opinion.

Maybe the microphone wires could be damaged , try to movement the microphone arm while recording from the microphone and see if there are some kind of sound or chirp in the audio. This happened with me on a Microsoft LiveChat LX3000 system, when I move the microphone works sometimes. If this is your case, tri to take your headset to a qualified techinician to take apart and repair the microphone wires.

When I plug in my Audio 625 Plantronics to my usb port it shows an error - Device not recognized, please help..

If you are using a Mac computer your Plantronics .Audio headset will not work The microphone plug on the .Audio analog headsets is not compatible with a Mac. It will physically fit into the Mic input jack on a Mac; however, it will not function. Basically, the digital sound card does not recognize the analog signal coming in from the headset.

Good luck from Headsets Direct!

My Saitek GH20 Headset Mic Buzzing

Hello.

I had the same problem for like ten minutes ago. I have a Swedish Vista computer and don't know all the translations but I'll give it a go.
This will reduce the buzzing not remove it.

Go to the control panel and click "sound". From there go to "recording" And double click on the microphone. You should get a new screen up. Click to the second button "Levels". Now drag the "microphonestrenghning" (the bottom one) and drag it down to 0 DB.
(optional) Drag the "Microphone" up to 100.

Hope this help you. It worked for me at least. :D

Computer wont recognize the microphone on the turtle beach x4

Can you try using the X1 mic on your PC? Green plug to green jack, pink plug to pink jack, USB plug to USB port. Talk into the X1 mic. Can you hear your voice? If yes, then you probably have a bad chat-controller cable. If no, then your X1 mic may not be working. If that's the problem, you should contact Turtle Beach tech support for help. [email protected].

Your monitor may not have an audio connection built in.
