Question about Voyetra Turtle Beach Ear Force X1 Headset

Computer wont recognize the microphone on the turtle beach x4

Sound works very nicely but the microphone is not recognized.

Can you try using the X1 mic on your PC? Green plug to green jack, pink plug to pink jack, USB plug to USB port. Talk into the X1 mic. Can you hear your voice? If yes, then you probably have a bad chat-controller cable. If no, then your X1 mic may not be working. If that's the problem, you should contact Turtle Beach tech support for help. No, the X4 needs to connect to the Xbox controller for the mic to work.

I cannot hear voices through my Turtle Beach X4's head set. But, my friends can hear me. The voices do come out through the tv.

you will need to press the middle guide button
go right to settings
then down to preferences
down to voices
then select play through headset

Turtle Beach X3 Microphone issue

It sounds like the plug and the jack are incompatible.

Check to see that both are what's called TRS connections, i.e., Tip/Ring/Sleeve.

TRS plugs & jacks provide two separate circuits (in this case, one for mic, one for phones).

TRS jacks/plugs are also called "stereo jacks".

Turtle Beach X3 is usually not recognized when plugged in

Change the batteries. The light will stay on when the batteries are too low. When that happens, you'll get symptoms like this.

My turtle beach x4 headphones work but the sound is distorted,how can i get it to work normally again?

Try moving the receiver away from major electronic objects and move yourself closer to the receiver. Does this make any difference? If so, it's interference.

Try replacing the batteries in the headphones.

you have to press the xbox guide button, and then go to settings, and then click on preferences, then go to voice and click the option "play through both" your welcome glad to help
