Kenmore dryer making rattling noise

Recently I noticed my dryer was making a lot of noise. I opened the lower panel and cleaned out all the debris. I started the dryer up, but the noise continued. When I put my foot against the lower panel, the noise seemed to stop. I am wondering if there is something in the drum, or if the panel is loose and rattling. The drum is very close to the lower panel.

Any suggestions?

I taped the lower panel of the dryer with duct tape and now my dryer is much quieter. Thank you for the help. You saved me some money.

If the panel's clamps are broken it will rattle, for a quick fix i would use duck tape on both sides.

GE Harmony Dryer makes Loud Vibrating noise

If you can open the walls of the dryer up check all screws and bolts that hold things together. Some times they will vibrate loose causing parts to make a vibrating sound against the frame itself.. Eventually the loose screws will just keep getting looser. Even the screws on the walls of the unit should be tightened That could cause a lot of noise.

DRYER PROBLEM

When the pads on the front wear, it will make noise when running. They can be replaced. There is one on the top and one on the bottom rim where the drum turns. You remove the front to access them by removing the screws on the top. Post your model number for diagrams. It's usually stamped on a small tag in a visible location on your appliance.

Washer-Dryer- behind or on top of the control panel. Behind the door. On the lower front or side of the cabinet.

Makes squeaking noise after running for about 10 minutes

there are 2 drum rollers at the back of the dryer. shut off power, pull drum and you will see 2 rubber wheels. there is a little plastis triangle that keeps the roller in place. try spinning the rollers . they probably will not spin too freely. remove triangles ,inspect inside of roller the stainless steel bearing may have gunk on it try to clean off . also check shaft roller rides likewise remove any debri use a little rubbing alcohol to remove gunk. also check the idler roller that routes the belt for the same things. good luck
