When pressing the ON/OFF button, the Green LED would come ON for just a few seconds, then back to Amber "stand by". I have tried to unplug the power cord for hours with no success. I have tried to press and hold the ON/OFF button for 8-10 seconds, still no luck. From my troubleshooting, if I unplug the cable from the Main board to the T-Con board, the set would come on and stay on. Same concept, with the Main board and T-con connected, if I unplug the two flex cables from the top of the T-con board, the TV would come one and stay on. Could it be a bad T-con? I'm leaning toward the bad T-con, but the symptom is so strange. Help please.

this is common issue with this model and through your troubleshooting is tied to y main board. blinking led on logic main in normal operation. when replacing y main always good idea to replace y upper and lowe buffer boards as they complete a circuit and sometimes replacing one without other could cause additional failure on remaining boards

You will have to isolate the main board and Inverters.
Unplug the inverters and turn on the set.
If it "turns on" then try re-connecting each inverter seperately to see if only one is causing the problem.

Try running diagnostic test press the power and the windows key at the same time and it will run in diagnostic mode and hopefully that will reveal the trouble. Also, you may wish to try reseating the memory.
