There should be a Language change option in the Menu. Our Panasonic Mini DV cam has Language options only for English, Spanish, French. If your camera does not have an English option, you may need to call Panasonic Tech Support for help.

To change the language, access Language in the menu and then select the correct language. Please see "Setting the Language" in your operator manual for further instructions. Try this: Select Camera Menu; Dial down to #60(OTHER FUNCTIONS) Press dial and jog to last item on page 2. (HOUR METER) Now dial up three lines and press the dial. You should now see SELECT LANGUAGE >English >Japanese.
Press the camcorder's power button while pressing and holding the Record button to recall the Camera Settings menu.
Scroll through the camera settings option until you get to the Language option.
