Tags On My Mp3's On Device (RD2765) Aren't Working
Well, It's as simple as this, Every time I add music to my RCA Lyra (RD2765), Well once the music is finished transferring and the device profiles everything, it doesn't come up in the music category as what it really is, for example, say my band (Burning My Abigail) records a song, and we set up the tags as they ought to be, with the band name and song and everything, after we've got it set up perfectly we add the newly created mp3 to Windows Media Player, and it comes up as it should, everything labeled clearly in the ID3 tags, everyone adds it to their portable devices and it comes up with the tags correctly, but when I add it to my MP3, it has something to the nature of what follows: "" ( ( $" , or something retarded like that, and it's not just my band's mp3s, it's just random music out of nowhere for some reason comes up as that kind of stupid garbage... it's extremely frustrating... what i need is a way to tag the music that the player will recognise, unless it's some kind of system error on the device, and I want to leave my wallet in my back pocket, no payment necessary to anyone... free, so to say... please help me out if you possibly can, thanks

The music files come from all kinds of sources, so some of the songs may lack complete information. Serious music fans are always willing to fix music tags manually or automatically, and they may also want to complete the music tags of a song which they record from the Internet or elsewhere. Re: Tags On My Mp3's On Device (RD2765) Aren't Working
I simply figured out that sometimes the two types of tag types for an mp3 file aren't the same and it creates a disconnect between the two and in that case neither of the two tags will be correct and the device will read them as tagless files, so to fix it I simply deleted both tags on it so there were no tags at all, then made both tags again, but the second time they were the same so they were both registered by the device, making the tag appear on the device... simple as that :)

Try Windows Media Player 10 or 11 on an XP machine. Search for media files on your computer to add to the Media Player library. Create a playlist of songs from your library. Use the Sync tab to sync the RD2765 to that playlist.
Hi there you can download your installation software here http://www.opendrivers.com/driver/236286/rca-rd2762-rd2765-lyra-system-tray-application-1.055a-free-download.html
You shouldn't need the specific software that came with your lyra -- I've used rhapsody, but you should be able to use itunes, windows media player, etc. to load songs. The easiest way is to just drag/drop your album folders under the Music folder on your lyra, disconnect from the computer and you should be good to go.
