HEATER IS NOT WORKING MARVIN MODEL 3150

One of the techniques I found to "re-energize" an Quatrz elelment is to Remove the cool element (unit unplugged, of course) and try to smooth the ends with sandpaper (220 grit) and then do the smae for the contacts. Replace element and see if it lights up.

Rmember NOT TO TOUCH quartz element with Bare Hands!!

Oil from skin can react with elelment and cause it to explode.

Marvin Quartz heater element

Very simple to install the replacement element. Insert one end of the element into the bottom receptacle on either side, press the element down (it's spring-loaded), then slide the top of the element into the center opening of the top receptacle, push to appropriate side (the side of receptacle, same as the bottom), then release. Then do the same with the other element (if both are out).

Heating elements

Is this one of those quartz type elements? If so I think you push it one way, forward or back to remove. Try a local appliance parts supply for the part.

Marvin quartz heater

Do they have a fan in them. If they do then the noise maybe coming from a bent fan blade. If you are mecahanically inclined then I would go into it and see. That would be the only moving part in the thing other than the tip over thing inside. I hope this helps
