Dsp micon ng - JVC RX-6010V Receiver

Seems pretty obvious to me that micon IC might have failed! Anything that gets hot to touch and does not have an heatsink on it might well be faulty. Since if it is natural for it to become hot, they would have put a heatsink on it!

In my experience, NG on a system made in Japan means "No Good" (error). NG might stand for something else, but regardless, it sounds like an internal issue with the amp.

The microcomputer, otherwise called as system control can be located on its main board. Some sets will have it on its front panel baord, along with the display unit board.

I believe it's trying to tell you something is wrong with its digital sound processing.

If you switch it to satereo / direct and the light goes out I'd say that would clinch it.

write down the number of the micon if that is the component that you are suspecting and go online checking for company from who you can purchase the micon.one such company is dalbani.com and mcmelectronics.com

it seems the problem of your unit is in the power amplifier section,the IC chip there is defected that why only analog source .you better bring back to them the unit it is the only option, that is there back job...

just google jvc go to customer service at the bottom look up manuals and u can print it right off the internet no cost
