I mirgated from XP to Vista and I cant find any audio drivers

Hello there, my problem is as such, once I upgraded from XP to Vista-Business I noticed that I lost some features within the laptop. I do realize that this Sony Vaio VGN-S170B was designed with XP in mind but I upgraded anyway. Do you know where I can find a audio driver suitable for this OS Vista-Business?

Hi,

This is the best way to download the drivers of all your devices which are connected to the system for free.

You can download the Driver Magician from this link :

http://www.toggle.com/lv/group/view/kl34858/Driver_Magician.htm

Download the reg key from this link :

http://public.box.net/paul123

then doule click & select ok.

Run the program and select update drivers, it will list the list of pdated drivers.

Select the drivers and select download drivers.

If it does not download just select the driver you need and at the bottom you would see a link,

Just copy that link and download from your browser or download manager, I use orbit downloader.

Good Luck.

I down graded from vista to xp cant install drivers

Hello,

As for your problem Toshiba is not did not bother creating a Windows XP compatible drivers for the Model L500-018 as it is their high end Notebook for the year 2007 and discontinued it on 2009. what you can is to upgrade from Windows Vista Home to Vista Premium for more functionality and XP compatibility or upgrade to much better Windows 7 as the Vista drivers are accepted by windows 7 OS.

Hope this helps.
tip

Which Windows Vista Edition are you?

If you are upgrading XP to Vista, make sure you backup and have the program "Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor"

Download Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=42B5AC83-C24F-4863-A389-3FFC194924F8&displaylang=en

Be Sure to Backup with a removable media such as CD's, Floppy Disks or USB Flash Drives, External Hard Drivers.

Windows Vista Editions:

Windows Vista Home Basic
Windows Vista Home Premium
Windows Vista Business
Windows Vista Ultimate
Windows Vista Starter
Windows Vista Enterprise

These also include 64-bit.

Lastly, if you have XP and if it's Vista Capable, you don't need to use the upgrade advisor, you are allowed to use any, but you must download the drivers after upgrade.

You can download the audio and device drivers from the Compaq/HP WEBsupport/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the Windowsdrivers you require and install them. Click on this link to download thedrivers: -

I am recently upgrade win7 hp nx9110 audio output device not installed msg getting how to resolve

Ok this is kind of common with Windows 7. Although everyone thinks its new its really not just a fairly bug free OS. The HP models running Win7 actually are using the Vista or XP driver for audio. I just ran into that issue a few months ago when upgrading a Pavillian model.

When Upgrade from XP Business software to Vista Business it know says No audio Output Device installed? With XP business had great should

This is most likely do to compatibility issue. You need to follow this link http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/hcl/default.mspx and see if your sound card is listed. If it is not then you will need to purchase a new sound card or see if your sound card manufacturer has updated drivers for vista.

I want to load Xp in a PC preloaded with Vista. I dont have the disks for vista- only the recovery disks are available. I am not an expert and cant fiddle with the boot thing Pl Help

If the PC was "designed for Vista", there will *NOT* be device-drivers for many components, i.e., no audio-drivers, no network-drivers, no video-drivers. In short, XP will *NOT* be a _good_ experience for you.

Stick with Vista, or upgrade to Windows 7.

Canon pixma500

This product can be used with Windows Vista.
  • To use it with Windows Vista, you must install the driver software for Windows Vista.
  • The Windows XP drivers for your product cannot be used under Windows Vista.
  • Easy-WebPrint and PhotoRecord do not support Windows Vista.
Upgrading from Windows XP to Windows Vista :
Before upgrading your OS from Windows XP to Windows Vista, delete / uninstall all the Windows XP driver software first; then, upgrade the OS to Windows Vista and install Vista driver software.
If you have already upgraded your computer's OS to Windows Vista :
Delete / uninstall the Windows XP drivers before installing Vista drivers.

I hope it helps!!!

Upgraded Z558 to Vista, playback and tv appears to be sluggish to the point video is off from audio

Make sure you update the video driver to a Vista driver if you have move from XP to VISTA
If not loaded, vista will load it's own default generic driver and you will notice a bite in performance.

Big Problem

Hey, the reason is because vista does not have the drivers for your laptop, you need to go to the laptops manufactures website like www.acer.com for example. and go into support and drivers download, and look for the model of laptop you have.
once you are in there should be drivers for vista, download the ones for the items that dont work like, audio, bluetooth & webcam and it should get you working,

All the best
