If there is no power at all to the machine check the plug-in recepticle. Plug a lamp in it's place to verify it's working. If not check the house circuit breaker. If it's tripped reset it. Unfortunately i'll have to know more about the machine to tell you more than that.

Check all your connections going to the heating element...sometimes they will get corrosion on them and cause them not to function properly.

First you need to actually test for power, Breaker seems fine doesn't mean you are getting power to the recepticle.Please post back after testing for power.
Make an Umbilical recepticle adapter. Buy the recepticle install the recepticle in a 4" electrical BOX on a plate with two manufactured 3 prong power cords plugging into the 2 outlets and terminating at the new Box twist lock recepticle you made.
You've probably damaged the dc power jack by trying to get contact. Local repair shop should be able to repair it for $100 and below. I wouldn't recommend going diy unless you're good with stuff like this.
