On occasion my mouse will freeze up, will go from the arrow cursor to a black line with an arrow at each end, any ideas on cause or how to fix it, if I shut the computer down, sometimes that will take care of it, other times have to shut it down 2 times, any ideas
Only thing i can think of is that it sounds like it might be virus/spyware related. See if you can get a scan done with some good internet security software, i wouldn't be surprised if it picked something up.

check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red white green black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems for a computer and its parts

When you start up, have to mouse on the one that freezes and then switch off that one. (turn on the one that freezes first and have the mouse set it. then once it is on boot the other one and then switch mouse.
