Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too. Press "end of cycle" to finish the mid stoppage..

A E90 fault code means the main pcb board is faulty and i'm afraid to say, they are a expensive item and not always easy to replace, some come pre programmed and just swap across and others have to be programmed using the code on the white sticker on the board housing. either way it normally better to get a engineer to replace it because you don't get the programming instructions with the new pcb. e90 means there is a communication error between the circuit boards inside. remove the plug then take the lid off the machine, remove the block which has the 5 (iirc) blue wires in it and give it a quick squeeze then replace, this should hopefully solve your problem.

E40 indicates the doors not closed properly. Sometimes it can be the lock itself or the main control board

I had E10 on Zanussi W/D.
The machine would wash but not dry.
Changed the water inlet valve assembly.
All working again.
