Lens Adaptor WE have a Kodak Easy Share z712IS camera. We bought a Xenar Telephoto lens, 1.4x55mm. We had an adaptor for it but unfortunately was left at a Nascar race this year. I am having a hard time finding an adaptor that will fit both the telephoto lens and the camera. Can you help?

The hood you buy needs to be the same as the inner ring on your lens. If you look at the inside of the lens ring or on the outside of the lens it will tell you what size filters will fit your lens. If the 52mm is too small or too big you should be able to find a adapter for it so it will fit. Try going to B&H photo website. They have tons of photography items. Hope this helps.
what size thread is it ? theres lots of adapters on ebay mate, especially from hongkong, dam cheap to, i bought a adapter tube so my z812 takes 58mm filters, only cost £4.50 post free from HK, i am in the UK, find out what the lens thread size is mate
You have a 55mm filter size on your camera, and the accessory lens requires a 62mm camera connection. I think you are looking through a 55mm tunnel into a 62mm lens (over-simplified I know). The black ring is the result, and I don't think you can fix that. Is the telephoto a Panasonic accessory, or a third party item. I think I already know the answer to that. I'd take it back and see what Panasonic recommends - you'd be happier. However, Panasonic has Leica glass (Leitz lenses) so it won't be cheap.
