KP41S3U LED FLASHES 12 TIMES

I have a 1996 KP41S3U . When it comes on it led flashes 12 times. What fault does this show and on which PCB !. Somtimes only sound comes on to get picture I put it on standby then push a channel no , after another 12 flashes its fine.. (I have another KP41S3U that shows 2 led flashes Ithink its power suppy as its dead so I can pull pcbs from this for a swap). If you can suggest the correct board swap and the board is ok, ive read that the fault will still show until reset in service mode. How do I get service mode. Tried (5 vol+ pwr from stand by nothing). prg+ and prg- when held on the TV and power switch pushed after 12 flashes gives TT00. The only TT code that works is 13. This gives V2.00 50 HZ 07/06/1996. Can you help Many Thanks.

I dont think Sony has a "12" blink code, the highest (being in a newer set) is a "10", might try rechecking that, as for the code 2 that is an OCP, usually a shorted horizontal output transistor/Convergence IC's/High Voltage distribution block. My bet is the Block as HV tends to break down parts like that over time You must be careful when removing the anode leads as you can break the tip off or burn something up if not done right.

My machine starts to fill and then stops. It flashes 7 times. What is this error?

What is the Brand and model of your washer ?

Is it Indent ?
Many basic UK Indesit washing machines fitted with a rotary dial indicate error codes by clicking the dial continuously round and flashing the door lock light a set number of times.
If the door light (LED) flashes 7 times it means, "Heater relay stuck - check connections on heater and module (PCB)".
In my experience, this fault code usually required a replacement PCB and EEProm. A connection fault on the heater usually results in the entire washing machine going dead. Nothing will work, but the LEDs light up. This symptom can also be caused by an open circuit motor or other faults.

It's always possible for a connection fault to cause error codes but the heater relay is embedded in the PCB and if it develops a fault the whole board needs replacing. I don't recommend replacing the PCB as a DIY repair. It is an expensive part and it will not be guaranteed unless fitted by an engineer. New PCBs do not come with the micro-chip EEPROM which would also need fitting. Replacing the PCB and EEPROM yourself is risky. If the fault is not cured you cannot send the parts back.
If you have an engineer to replace the PCB and EEPROM I would imagine the cost is likely to easily be over £100. If your washing machine has a 5 year parts guarantee Indesit would supply the PCB free of charge but only if their own engineer fits it at a cost of about £90.
If you are really keen to fix this yourself and want to try another PCB there is a company that might be able to help and are happy to deal with the public called Quality Electronic Repairs (see link below)

Zanussi dishwasher beeps once and end of cycle light flashes

Most likely your dishwasher finds fault.

Appliances without a display will show the alarms by a number of flashes of the LED "end of cycle".

For example: one flash = i10, two flashes = i20
..........and so on

So, count how many times LED "end of cycle" flashes and you will know the error code.

12 blinks on th-p42x20m

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power led, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy.

Hi Daniel,

Please check if you can access the "error code operational check" to narrow down where the fault came from.
How to enter to error code operational check.
Note : The TV must be in shutdown and not have been switched off. When the TV is switched off, the error code automatically resets to 12 (no error).
Press the buttons on the front panel "Input/Device" and "Menu" at the same time and hold it for 5 sec, activate the error code mode. The LED light will flashes denoting a two digit error code.
Example : if the error code is 22, the led will flash two times pause and then flash two times and will repeat the error code for five times.

If you can't access the error code operational check , please let me know the exact pattern of the flashes of the led light and its color. Check if it will continually flashes green to give you the caused of the symptoms and best solution.

Good luck and take care.
