I dropped my dvd remote and now it won't work

I dropped the remote for my dvd played and now it won't work. i changed the batteries so it isn;t that. how do ni reprogram it?

Need to know the model of the DVD player and remote to be able to further assist you...but a quick google search with that model # and the phrases "program codes" and "how to" should quickly bring up a how to article or manual for the dvd player with reprogramming instructions.

    okay, i found that it has a setup button....make sure DVD player is on...hold setup button down for about five seconds or until you get a steadily lit led...point at DVD player and keep pressing the power button until the DVD player shuts off...this is just a try as that remote should NOT need to be reprogrammed....last resort that I know of is to attempt the "dead remote" fix, detailed on this link..http://remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=...

    also meant to say it should be pointed at DVD player when you press setup

Tevion Dvd player won't read burned cd's or dvd's.
Transfer your .avi movie files onto a USB stick & simply plug them into the Tevion DVD player.
Select the usb button on the remote to activate & choose which film to play from the menu that pops up.

Changed batteries, now won't control power
It is possible you are using the wrong type of battery. A lot of electronics require you to use either Lithium-Ion or less powerful ones. I had this happen once by putting in batteries that were the right size, but were meant for more powerful devices. If you have a cheap set of the right size batteries laying around that are a different type, try those.

2003 Dodge Grand Caravan. Remote is broken. Key won't shut off alarm system. What do I Do??
Try changing the battery inside the remote usually that solves the problem but otherwise u might also have broken or loose parts inside the remote from dropping it on the ground,or rubber gasket maybe in in perfectly, if none of those solutions work, it may need to be reprogrammed or replaced,from the dealership.
usually its the coin cell battery eg:2016,2032,etc
and u'll need a small flat precision screwdriver and some patience when opening it.

Click Start/My Computer then Right Click on the DvD Drive and select Properties. Click the Hardware Tab and double Click the Dvd drive or highlight it and click Properties. Click the DvD Region Tab and go down towards the bottom to change it by putting in a New Region.

Apex DVD/Tv combo GT2015DV won't play dvd's
Something is wrong..crbr799 your DVD-TV has a TV-DVD button on the right front to switch from TV to DVD play...OPEN button on left side ,place DVD in tray, close & press PLAY...
I something simulator that needs the remote control for the SPECIAL functions....by the way the ORIGINAL r\c is $135 to $155, a replacement ($35) will turn the TV\DVD on ( which you can do without the r\c) and NOT function with anything else.
P.S. they will try to sell you universal r\c that work with the CABLE boxes, the ones that you pay a monthly fee!!

My dvd player is not responding to my remote RMT-D187A the dvd player is fine and will play dvd's but the it's not responding to the remote-I've changed the batteries....there is no way to...
To make sure the remote works or not. See if it blinks if you shoot the pointy end to a mobile phone in camera mode. If it's working fine there, some other issue. At least you know if it's a battery thing.

Cannot find an unlocking code for my new dvd player: Toshiba XDE600KB. 40% of my dvd collection is from region 1, when my husband was in Canada. We are in England (region 2) & none of them will play.
Kelly - If you have the EU version the following will work if they haven't upgraded the firmware so it won't work. worth a try. I couldn't tell for sure from your post exactly which wouldn't play, the region 1s or 2s.
  • turn on dvd player
  • open tray
  • press "35147199" on remote
  • turn off dvd player
  • turn dvd player back on & you should have an open region player

If it's the US version there is no known Region Hack (At least that I could find).

Hi

if the battery is new, you need to replace the IR in the remote control this is the bad parts thats why you can not operate.
