Dishwasher emptying When turned on, the rinse light flashes and sounds like it is trying to empty all the time and does not continue the cycle

Check the base of the machine and see if it has water in it. if so, this will cause the dishwawsher to pump out all the time. mop out and it shoiuld run. you have a leak and will have to trace it - not always easy

Sorry I only have more questions. If you observe the following things it may help rule out the thermostat or heating element . There are similarities to my problem. My dishwasher run for 4 seconds and stops briefly and starts again and will do that for ever.
1. Will it run properly in RINSE ONLY mode?
2. Does it run constantly or stop /starts continuously?
3. Does the soap dispenser open?
4. Does the timer count down? Ie cycle reads 2H and counts down, at least on my model.
5. Finally noticing if all the normal sequencing is happening. Ie turns on, pump empties the dishwasher, fill occurs, arms spin, and so forth. you should be able hear the unit empty and refill again and the rinse light goes on.

'low rinse' stuck on with full rinse aid, can't start wash cycle
Actually, if you look closely at that Low Rinse button or emblem, you will see a little lock symbol above the words "Low Rinse", and I'll bet THAT light is the one that is on. Basically, you have the control lock (or child-lock) turned on. To turn it off, you have to press and hold the Sanitize button for 3 to 5 seconds until that light goes off. Now your dishwasher will work!

Hotpoint BC1450 Light 2 normal flashes
Flashing lights, pump running even when turned off. Had to switch off at the socket. The vibration from the machine had managed to give a quarter turn to the appliance gate valve, the type with the little blue handle. I could see the indentation in the rear rubber panel on the back of the dishwasher. Unscrewed the little blue handle, pushed the machine back in and started working as normal. :)

Dishwasher does not wash simply beeps continously and wont start the rinse cycle with green flashing pre rinse light. Have tried turning off at power and have checked all connecting pipes. Have emptied...
If your dishwasher is a whirlpool or IKEA then maybe the answer given by emmanuelr in "Whirlpool dishwasher ADP5962 F7 error code" may do the trick. It certainly worked for me. Bit technical but if you are happy taking the sidepanels off the thing then the fix may be easy.

CDA dishwasher (model number CW496) , stops working at the rinse cycle, and does not empty, filter is ok, tried re-setting the programme but unless there is no water being held the programme won`t work

Bosch classixx 1000 washing machine - stops on spin
Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x

Hi, I have a Silver Hotpoint DC28 Slim line Dishwasher, I bought it years ago but didn't use it for years as I didn't have room for it in my Kitchen, after I used it a few times I took the front panel off (for reasons I wont go into) but now I cant remember if the programme dial should Click or at least be still when I turn it!! Also the Delay button doesn't seem to do much! I have to admit I haven't used that button but it doesn't feel right, how long does it delay it for when you push it in? It seems you cant delay it for a set time of choice. Any help as I feel gutted its out of warrentee yet I've only used it about 4 times! Thanks, David
