Wiring scramatics for my ilo 32jn flat screen tv "
SOURCE: tv wont turn on
Hello, I am sorry to hear of your problem here. From the sounds of it, this unit will have to be serviced. You say the TV used to come out of standby on its own, normally when the unit is in standby it simply routes power around the Televisions main circuits. It seems that a faulty diode/resistor/selenoid may have been causing this. This is more commen to see in homes with poor wiring and having little or no protections from voltage variations, i.e. blackouts/lightning. It would seem that now whatever was causing the first issue is or is somehow related to the current issue. If you are experienced in electrical repairs you could remove the back cover and check the power supply area for blown fuses and also see if there any heat scars anywhere on the board. If there is a faulty diode/resistor there may be signs.

This TV is using a power supply MLT168A that has defective capacitors. Replacing the capacitors might fix it, but in some cases the failure is more then capacitors.
