There is no code for ILO TV in my universal remote code list. I went through the process of letting the remote do the searching and still no code to operate the TV with the universal cable remote.
I had the same problem trying to program my satellite remote to work with the ILO tv. I found that the emerson codes DO work. Yes local cable remotes will work as long as you have the code and the brand is getting more popular. The code that worked with both cable companys, Charter and DirecTv was 10171 I believe. You can find it under the Emerson codes. Hope this was helpful.
Local cable televsion remotes WILL work with an ILO tv. You just have to find the right code. Emerson tv codes work with ILO televisions. I've had two different local remotes and a universal remote that the same Emerson code worked with. I believe the code is 10171 or something like that. There is like 8 diff Emerson codes and one of them does work. Hope this was helpful.

I bought the all for one at walmart... and the code is emerson's 0463..
All I can tell you guys for sure is that I just programmed my Scientific Atlantica cable box remote to control a newly purchased Ilo 27 in.TV with 0477 - that's an Emerson code and it seems to do on/off, volume, muting and even the on screen programming functions. Hope this helps someone.
** This works with Phillips Universal Remotes **
Start with holding down the "code search" button until the red light turns on and stays on. Next press the tv button. Last, repeatedly press the power button until the TV turns off followed with the mute button to program it. That's it.... it worked for me. NOTE*- make sure to not get impatient and start clicking to fast like I did because you will overshoot the code. All the important functions work including: power, channel up/down, and volume. For those of you with a checkmate u43c cable remote the ilo 27" can be programed by turning your tv on .......then on the remote.... 1. Hold the tv and select buttons until the red light at the top of the remote stays lit. 2. hold the channel up button until the tv shuts off. 3. hit mute button and if tv turns back on the code is stored....Thats it...Hope this helps!!!!...It took me a couple of days to find this out....Good luck!!!
Go to Lowes and get a RCA universal remote model RCR311BN.
It cost only $11.99 and it will work with the ILO TVS. Follow the instructions using the brand code search and you will be working in 5 minutes. This remote also works all functions with dish network satellite
I searched for months to find a universal remote that would work. This one works for almost all TV's, satellite, DVD & blue-ray players and it is inexpensive.
Problem solved.
If you have a Direct TV remote, the actual ilo codes they have listed do not work on all TV's. Try Funai codes. The most popular is 10171. Why can't people make things easiers these days, especially with all our technology. Good luck.
After my remote stopped working on my 26" ilo tv, I came to the internet to find the codes for a universal remote. I have tried 4 different remotes and every code you guys posted. nothing worked. I even called sony and they tried to help me with theirs. so i told my wife its time to buy a new one from Ilo. BUT, last night i got the non working remote, took a sharp knife and scraped at the coils and lifted them out a little, GOOD AS NEW, it works. one coil seemed to be a little brown in color, rust?.. not sure, but im happy now... The ILO codes for a direct tv remote are 11286, 11603, 11684, 11990

Ilo's programming code for their tvs is a 4 digit code. While I don't remember what that code is, there is a universal remote called "3 for 1" or something like that, sold at Wal Mart, that has the code and, I would presume will work with it. This may be old news and if so, sorry I couldn't help further...timitot2
Sorry to say, it's not a well-known brand so most "local cable" remotes wont be able to control the Ilo tv. I'd recommend searching their site to find a universal remote that would operate your tv, cable, etc..

Emerson Code 0463 worked for the Comcast All-in-One remote on my 27 in ilo
If you happen to have cable from Bresnan cable, the solution for finding the code is as follows:
Turn tv on
Press device key (in this case tv)
Press and hold setup until the light blinks twice
Press 9-9-1 (the LED will blink twice)
Press power key
Press channel up until the tv turns off
Press setup when device turns off.
Your universal remote will now work with your iLo tv.
For those who have satellite through DishNetwork, etc., they have a similar system. If you call tech support they can walk you through the steps, or if you still have your manuals you received at the time it was installed there are steps in them to walk you through the manual search for the code. If you have cable through someone other than Bresnan, first check your manuals (if you have them), or call tech support for your local cable company and see if their remotes have a manual search option. My remote quit qorking for our ilo tv and I've tried all these for said codes for a One For All universal remote and since none of them worked I tried a few of the tv models and tried many codes and found one for Zenith code 0463 that worked. Hope this helps someone.

I was trying to program my 32 inch ilo t.v. with a r.c.a digital converter box remote finally got it to work with a admiral code 189. Hope this helps someone out.
I got a 27inch ILO tv, my remote broke and I have a philips universal remote, none of the codes work.
To Use Comcast Cable with Ilo (ilo)32" CRT (Tube TV - Not Flat Panel) use code "10171" tested working, Then Use RED button on remote that says "ALL ON" to turn the TV and the Cable Box ON, Hit it again and turn ALL OFF! Sweet setup now. All I have to do is add my surround sound unit to the AUX, and I am finished!! GUARANTEED SOLUTION FOUND!!

The only universal remote I could find that has Ilo codes is the Sony RM-V210...cost between 10 and 20 dollars.

Try turning the tv on, set up for the code, then click the off button, then the chanel UP till

I have an ilo tv model IWT3206 with a charter cable remote model UR4U-MDVR-CHD2. The funai code 052 will work for this. But when I entered it manually it did not work, I had to let the remote scan and find it and then it works fine. Hope this helps somebody.
I bought an ILO TV and when programming my remote, found out that it is made by Funai. I used one of their codes for my tv.
We to also lost our remote for the Ilo tv. We found that on the All for one replacement remote code 0171 for Funai worked and also for Direct TV remote the code 10171 for Emerson worked as well. Good luck to all who need it.
Seems ilo televisions dont have a clue of how to fix these problems.I have a 26 inch lcd tv that the remote doesnt work,the channles dont change and is stuck on one channel.Walmart doenst care too much so everyone should file a big ass lawsuite
I followed the advice of a post on here, that said to scrape the rust off the coils and pull them up a bit. I opened the battery case and saw one of the coils was covered in a rusty substance. I used a fingernail file and scraped the coil and then pulled it up a bit. Put in fresh batteries and IT WORKS!!!! I hope this helps. Please check the battery coils before buying a new remote!!!

27" ILO---same problem with remote. Curious, though, as ILO is made by ORION which was the outsourced manufacturer for the 27"FST Toshiba which I was replacing (silly thing didn't survive lightning!) This new set (with combo analog/digital tuners) is just like my Toshiba---even the remote looks the same. But NOTHING--so far---will operate the ILO except the remote that came with it. Does the Digital tuner have anything at all to do with this???
