if you can get it on a lift id check from your tank and follow all the lines up to your block, checking for leaks. does it smell like burnt gas or raw liquid?
Run fault codes and look for a faulty TCM unit. THE TCM will also put on the engine light and affect the speedometer operation . Running the fault codes will also identify the sensor associated with the ABS unit.. Seeing as to how you have just bought the car (possibly from a corner used car dealer) I would advise a pressure test done on the transmission to check for the condition of the transmission and have an oil change and the bands and clutch packs adjusted
