Are you sure you pressed the correct location on your screen???
If so, you may need to calibrate the screen.
Do this:
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} To recalibrate the touchscreen on your nuvi 200 series follow the steps below:

  1. Have the unit turned OFF and unplugged from power.

  4. Once this message displays, release the Power button.
  5. Press in the center of the Dot.
  6. Keep pressing in the center of the Dot as it moves around the screen.
  7. Once this is complete, there will be a message: Calibration Complete.

I tried the first option 20 times with no result. Thank you so much for posting the second option. It works great. I was about to throw my GPS out of the window.

I can't correct my password and get into my computer--

keyboard layout is as follows.

TOP ROW: QWERTYUIOP
MIDDLE ROW: ASDFGHJKL
BOTTOM ROW:ZXCVBNM

If you're saying you just can't see the keyboard keys, that should help. If it doesn't, I suggest getting a hold of a USB keyboard other than the malfunctioning one you have now.

How to turn on numlk for gateway NE56R31u

You may have hit a certain combination of keys on your Gateway laptop and turned on the NumLock function accidentally. The result is that the rectangle of keys from the 7 key down to the question mark key have become a number-entry keypad. Worse, Gateway manuals don't discuss this function.

Hold down the "Fn" key on the bottom row of the keyboard, and press the "NumLk" key. Type the letters UIO. If they come out as numbers, move on to the next step. Hold down the "Fn" key and press the "F11" key. Type the letters UIO. If they come out as numbers, move on to the next step. Hold down the "Fn" key and press the F11 key and "Scroll Lk" key simultaneously. Type the letters UIO. If they come out as numbers, move on to the next step. Hold down the "Fn" key and press the "F9" key. Type the letters UIO. If they come out as numbers, move on to the next step. Hold down the "Fn" key and press the "Scroll Lk" key. Type the letters UIO. They should come up as letters. If none of these help, then it's probably a keyboard malfunction and you'll need to get it repaired.

When typing different characters appear. example: type the letter "t" an @ sign would appear. type the letter "j" a % sign would appear.

If you aren't in a language mode or KBII the printwheel homing pawl is probably broken. You need a tech.

My laptop is only typing the numbers that appear on the letter keys. For example when I hit the letter J, it types a number 1. When I hit the letter k key, it types a 2, etc. How do I get it to go back...

Usually you have to hold the "Fn" key to get to these. Look for a "NumLock" key to turn this off. You may need to use the "Fn" key to select numlock.

How to get all balance sheet entries tally to excel

This is a very handy process when you're totaling or subtotaling columns. On the cell that you want the 'total' in type '=sum(column letter row number),(column letter row number). The first 'column letter row number' is where you want the first cell to be started in the total factor and the second 'column letter row number) is the last cell you want added in the total factor. The help (?) section is good at explaining formulas. Hope this helps, keep this process handy if you use Excel much because it'll be helpfull each time you subtotal or total columns.

Your keyboard is faulty - either due to a mechanical failure or spillage.

This is pictures of a different brand, however the premise is still the same...

An easy repair - remove the top trim bezel (just under the screen) this will allow access to 2-3 screws.

Remove the screws, and tilt the keyboard out.

Remove the ribbon cable.

Install reverse of removal.
