Font sizing

Where do you want to change the font size on the overall computer or in a word document?

In a word document you will see a number at the top of the window that represents the font size that you can change. If you have problems within word there is a Help option where you can simply type: Font Size and it will bring up instructions to change.

To change font size on everything in the computer:
Find an open space on the windows desktop and Right Click then select Properties. When the Display Properties window opens click the Appearance Tab then look down towards the bottom left you will see where you can change the font size from Normal to Large or Extra Large. Change the size then Click Apply then click OK.

You can also get the Display Properties by clicking Start/Control Panel and look for Display or Appearance and Personalization. Once the display opens click the Appearance tab to change the font size.

Normal size for dpi

DPI, or "font size" is variable, depending on your monitor's native resolution, The resolution you have selected for it in Windows (Desktop-->Properties[right-click]-->Display Properties-->Settings), and what program you are currently using (browsers can be "zoomed").

I would try adjusting your monitor resokution first, before changing display font size. Try this page for some help with XP: http://www.andybrain.com/qna/2008/02/09/how-to-change-the-font-size-in-windows-xp/

This page for help in Win7: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/443-dpi-display-size-settings-change.html

There really is no such thing as "normal" DPI font size. Most people with decent eyes would probably use 96 as a standard.

My monitor changes colors (e.g. normal then turns

Color changes on the display mostly occurs because of a faulty VGA cable or a loose connection of the cable to the VGA port at the back of your PC or Monitor. But if the cable is fixed securely at the back and the problem still persists, slightly move the cable's wire segment while observing its reaction on your monitor. Does it change colors while u do so? If it does even when the cable is securely plugged in to both the PC and the monitor, then u need to change the cable.
As for the visible display area size (technically called the Resolution) right click on an icon free area on the desktop and click Properties. At the top of the form click on the Settings tab. At the bottom of this form find Screen Resolution and adjust it to it your requirements and click Apply. On the confirmation dialogue that pops up click Yes if the displayed resolution suits u otherwise click No and try another resolution size. Hope this helps.

I want to change the image size and font size on my screen. When I push the menu button, I can't click on to any of the choices. Bill Kelly

Hi,
You can not change the font and resolution through the monitor. For that Please Right click on desktop, Go to properties and click on. A separate window appears called Display Properties. There you can see the Themes, Desktop, Screen Saver, Appearance and Settings. To change the Desktop background click on Desktop and change the background. To change the font, click on Appearance and change some settings there. To change the image or to broaden the images click on Settings and change screen resolution. Thats it. After changing any of the settings you need to you need to click Apply which is present in the bottom right corner of the display settings. Then click ok.

Thank you.....
